Furthermore, DaVita operates its own clinical laboratories, performing standard dialysis-related tests and other prescribed analyses for ESRD patients, alongside providing management and administrative support to its network of outpatient centers. Beyond core dialysis, DaVita delivers a suite of integrated care services, including disease management for approximately 23,000 patients (within both risk-based and other i ... ntegrated arrangements), vascular access procedures, clinical research initiatives, physician consultation, and holistic kidney care programs. By the close of 2021, DaVita maintained a substantial presence, with 2,815 outpatient dialysis facilities across the United States serving around 203,100 patients, and an additional 339 centers in 10 international markets supporting roughly 39,900 patients. In the U.S., it also delivered acute inpatient dialysis services, complete with laboratory support, in approximately 850 hospitals. Originally incorporated in 1994 and headquartered in Denver, Colorado, the company adopted its current name, DaVita Inc., in September 2016, having previously operated as DaVita HealthCare Partners Inc.
